Kait - The dogz head should go into the center nicely if the alignment of the dog is correct. Try working on getting the dogz ankles stacked first before trying to get anything else right. Here are a two of mine. They're not perfect, but the best I've gotten. Redtails - You should always pose your dogz to the right. Left show poses are almost always diqualified and not accepted. (love the japanese names!) Lily is misaligned slightly. A little too far to the left.

Actually they're not bad, especially for a first timer.
Maya's a bit misaligned on both but you've got the right idea. Jewel looks good, as does Spangled and Drummer.
A little note though, a lot of shows don't accept dogs that aren't full grown and ckbcs look better in Dali pose. ^^

I think Glory's was better but this is one of my other dogs. Any tips on getting them to pose and if these two are good poses?

^Well actually with Glory, her head is too far to the left. Notice that you can see both her ears yes? And there is no fur after her eye? (if that made sense, I suck at explaining). That pose would be very good if her head were just centered. It is high though which is good.
Now the second one, his head is turned too far to the right. Notice how you can see his other eye peeking out? You should only see one eye.
Try again though! Glory looks like she could be a good show dog. Now that you know what you are looking for as far as the head, you should be able to do better. And don't be afraid to enter my comment and critique shows! I'll place you and give you critique just like this to help you for next time =]

Oh yea, I'll do Layla's too ^_^
Penny- For the alignment, it might look better if you try turning the dog a tad more to the left. Also see how her ears are not flat to her head? They should be like little triangle, right next to her head, not sticking out.
Saint- errmm looks good to me lol The alignment is good and so is the head. I'd place you well.
Arrow (profile pose)- The alignment needs help. See the sliver of leg in the back? That should not show. Try getting his legs to look like Saint's legs! Also his head is turned too far to the left (because his whole body is actually, once you get the legs aligned, his head should look better). Notice that his other ear is showing? Only one should be visable. Also there should be a bit of fur after his eye, that's how you can tell it's not too far left.
Arrow (dali pose)- This is also a good pose! His legs are decently aligned, you can only see a tiny bit of foot in the back. His head looks perfect, even better than Saint's. This is what you want to aim for.
Oh yes and Selena is right about show dogz needing to be fullgrown =3
Great start!

I know its been a while since anyone posted on here but I would like some tips on show poses. I've never shown a dog before so I'm not sure how to get them to pose. I've read the other posts and thought I'd give it a go. Please be honest. Thanks x [glow=pink,2,300] KADIE[/glow] [glow=red,2,300] DYNAMITE[/glow] [glow=orange,2,300] SCORPIO[/glow]

Im not very good with the riginal dogs and with those fluffy paws I can't tell you much for allignment but for Kadie, she is in a scared pose which is not considered a 'real' pose. Try and get it so her eyes are similar to your other two.
As for poses, I said i can't tell very well but I believe that scorpio's first pose is better than the second.

Dan Dogz:
Kadie- Her eyes should not be wide open, but her eyelids should be like the rest of your dogz.
Dynamite- The first two poses would be the best because both nose shines are showing and his head is more centered (you can tell if you look closely).
Scorpio- The first one is better because of the nose shines both showing and the legs look better.
I would suggest turning the dog a tad more to the left however and then just try to get the head as centered as possible and both nose shines showing. Also I can't tell if these are fullgrown but you want your show dogz to be fullgrown.

^First of all all your dogz are turned too far to the left =/ Try turning them more to the right so they are centered.
I think I have left tips for other around that you may want to read, they could be helpful.
Also Duke is in an overpose and not a true pose so he wouldn't be considered.
Try again and post them and I'll help you out

Okay thank you, I can see it now I wasn't sure about Duke, that is all he will really give me. I give up on him for now... Here are some more poses, I chose different dogz because some of the others were hard to pose. I tried to get them more centered, tedious work. I think I did better though... "Coffered" "Challenger" "Psylocke" I think she could be more centered and her eyes should be more rested but other than that? Better? I really appreciate the input
