As I stated in my reason for disqualifying Sindy's pose, I only came to the conclusion that it was edited after a close and careful examination of the pose. I used a couple of different graphics programs to zoom in for a better look, as well as compare it with other poses, both unedited and edited. After a thorough examination of this pose, I believe it was edited by erasing pixels so as to make the dog appear better aligned. There are signs of pixels being erased from at least a couple of areas around the legs/feet. Besides the other back leg and foot being noticeably completely absent in the pose, there are unusually long, flat areas around the feet and legs that indicate erased pixels. A row of pixels is missing from the bottom of the back foot, cutting the very bottom of it off. I have only seen these things in edited pose pictures.
I also found that I had what I believe to be that particular breed file on my hard drive, so I also looked at the possiblity that the missing back leg/foot and pixel anomalies in Sindy's pose where just a natural quirk with this file. But after trying to replicate a pose that looks at least vaguely similar and failing, I came to the conclusion that it didn't have to do with the breed file.
So I did not just jump to the conclusion that the pose was edited before taking a very close look at the picture and trying to rule out other possibilities. I would not accuse somebody of doing something as serious as entering an edited pose in a dog show if I didn't have good reason to believe that they did. Now, it may not have been intentional. It's possible that the picture was edited for some other purpose, like for a website graphic or what have you, and she accidentally used it as a show pose. Maybe she got frustrated after a long time of trying to get a good pose from the dog, and figured it wouldn't hurt to just erase a few pixels to make the pose look better so that it'd place better. I don't know. But since I believe the pose was edited, and have evidence to support this conclusion, I have to DQ it.
As I said, if she says she can prove to me that this pose has not been edited, I am willing to listen. If this dog has been hexed to have three legs, it would explain why the other back leg/foot is completely missing in the dog's pose. But until I see some good evidence to the contrary, I believe this pose has been edited, and so this particular pose picture will not be allowed in my shows for this reason.
