I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I was just on my sister's name (she was logged on and I wanted to go to mine) and there were 80-something Norton Anti-Virus things popped up that said something like "Norton Anti-Virus is not running". Now, it's ALWAYS said that, since we installed it, even if it is on, but usually only one message comes up. So, I tried to "Switch Users," and it wouldn't let me. It went to the "welcome" screen, though, and a Windows 98 style box (I have XP) popped up that said something like "Dial can't be reahced " 648" or something like that. I screenshot-ed it, but I ended up having to turn my computer off before I could paste it...

Do you have Dial up or Broadband (ADSL, DSL, Cable, T1 or T3 lines)? If you don't have dial up that's a sign you probably have a trojan or something's disabling your virus scanner like major Doo doo leaving you wide open for virus attacks, dialers (Forms of trojans that dial whacked out 800 numbers which you get charged for on your PHONE BILL if they go through -_- and they're usually pr0n numbers *SHUTTERS*) and hijackers. You gots something that's for sure and it doesn't look pretty

I figured out I could do little "mini scans" for the things on my desktop! Fwee. That helps. So far nothing. But I decided whenever I download something I shall immidiatly scan it.
I also scanned all my Sim and Petz files. Nothing yet!! YAH!

Okay. Someone REALLY needs to help me. My computer won't load in "normal mode". Right now, I have to use my computer in Safe Mode with Networking. Nothing else works. When I tried to start up my computer a few hours ago, it just kept restarting itself. So I called my Dad, and he can't find anything wrong with it. He tried running it in Safe Mode, it didn't work. He tried over and over again to run it in "normal mode", it didn't work. Only Safe Mode with Networking works. And I CANNOT live using my computer like this. I'm afraid I might have to get a new computer if it's going to be like this, unless someone knows whats wrong and how to fix it. Is it this virus? Oh. And Dr. Web won't work for me.

What kind of people in their right mind would make this virus? People who are evil, and just can.... they could careless about what condition your computers in just as long as theres works right. Thank you....
Meep...I don't think I have it. But who really knows. My scanner keeps on shutting down half way through...X? It froze for me a little less than half way threw the first time, then the secound time It froze 1/4 of the way through For me I do this Go to "Start" ---> Click "Run" ---> Type "msconfig" ---> In the General tab click "Advanced..." ---> Check "Enable Startup Menu" ----> Click "Ok" ---> Click "Apply" ---> Say "Yes" when it asks if you want to restart. And as it load it will soon go to this Menu screen with a list of options for how you want to load windows. You want to pick the one that says "normal" within 28 secounds or it'll go to safe mode again.

This could've been what I had... we never found out because the computer killed itself, we lost everything, got a new hardrive, but on my old hardrive, could this have been the problem?
It first started with the speaker going out, only being able to be used with microphones. Nothing to do with this, but then it made that turning off noise[oh, and the new computer is so much quieter! Thank god!] and it did it... every maybe 2-5 minutes. Then, the computer got to the loading screen, but didn't make it. A black screen came up about if you restarted this blah blah, blah blah. I think it was about restarting. We did, because the computer was being evil and made me stuck, but we've done it that way before and nothing's ever happened. And we only got to do three choices of how to run, because after that, the computer died. Norton Antivirus didn't detect it, so was this the virus? I have AVG Free, now, and it works like a charm.

Well, when I selected the only option there was, it ran through like this black screen with all these file names, then stopped. After about fifteen minutes, still nothing happend. It just stayed on this black screen with file names on it. =/ Ahh, same exact thing with me. Except I pressed enter by mistake. [sorry for double post]

I swear virus companies make viruses. Coz with the new viruses out it means that people will have to purchase the newest product to get the lastest anti virus updates to stop the system being chewed up and spat out.
ITS A DETECTIVE CASE!!
