H'OKAY.
So.
I've looked at most of the recommended sites, I've read at least a bajillion words and a gazillion tutorials...
And I have no idea where to start. Res Hacker does NOT work. It is not available for download on the site.
I have just about every other resource under the sun. Including LNZ Pro.
I'm a REALLY fast learner, once I get ahold of a tutorial I tear into it until I've extracted all I pretty much can, hence the site being in HTML. I just am completely dumbfounded when it comes to starting to hex! It just doesn't say in any tutorial!
I mean, it'll say "delete this, take this junk out blah blah blah" but it won't say "click this, this means this. step two, do this..."
It may be pitiful but that's what I need. @ Least @ first...
I just don't know where to start...
PLEASE HELP!

Hey Chelsea!
If you're a starting hexer, it is better to learn how to use a regular hexing program, like LNZ Pro, but if you are having a really hard time learning, have you tried Petz Workshop? It's more of a visual program. If you learn the basics, like I did, and know how to make everything through numbers, you can naturally do everything in PW and you then can do more because there are some things in LNZ Pro that you can't do in PW.
Hexing is all about memorizing how to do things. It depends on what you want to do with your hex. Most tutorials are veared for specific things, like leo spots, so they don't explain what does anything, just the process. I learned hexing by playing around with the numbers in ResHacker, so I taught myself what each number, line, means.
I realized I never made an introduction tutorial to hexing in LNZ Pro. I left that one out because I thought I would write about more advanced things, but now that more and more people are looking at my tutorials...If you like, I could make one to help you out? Or if you prefer PW, have you looked at my tutorial on Diversity for it? I have an entire free weekend! (Omg! The first one in ages) and I wanted to add some new tutorial to Diversity anyway)
I can tell you that the very first step to hexing would be to clear your breed, (delete the variations) and then to start and hex paint or change the colors of your breed.
