so, i just got seasons, and it installed good and everything. but then when i go to play the game, it never loads fully and always freezes up (the game, not my whole computer).
does anyone know why it won't finish loading? the only other expansion i have is pets. also, if you need me to take a screenshot or something of where it's freezing up (since it's the same place every time), i can do that.
thanks.

I would go to the main ts2 site, use the help section and report a problem. They'll probably be able to help you better.

Do you have downloads in your game? First thing is to take these out. Did you install Seasons with downloads still in your game? This can mess your game up. Where is it freezing is it when you load into a family?

ooh, yeah, i did install it with the downloads still there. & its freezing before the neighborhood screen pops up, it doesn't even get halfway before it completely stops. /:
so should i try uninstalling it, moving my downloads folder somewhere else, installing it, then moving them back?

Is your computer strong enough to handle it?
& Selena is right, you should go to thesims2.com because they'll be the most helpful.

yeah, i'm pretty sure it is 'strong' enough, i guess. it's fairly new, and hasn't been crashing randomly or anything.
& i checked thesims2.com, but couldn't really find out my problem, so i tried uninstalling and reinstalling earlier. nothing changed.

If you submit a tech help form with your problem, you will get an answer.

I'd try a full uninstall and reinstall of all the games. Sometimes files can be corrupt within the game itself.

That's true, just make sure you know where all of your codes are for installing the game.
That's part of my problem..I have issues remembering where I put them. ^^;

just one more question- i think i'm just going to do what linsey said and reinstall all of my games. but would that do anything to my downloads folder?

You have to move your downloads folder out otherwise it'll get deleted.
