I've gotten two colors so far on two different pets ^^ Aperiodique turned disco and Koralkiger turned spotted.
Also, even though the pet lab ray is really cheap it really does work very well. I got a petpet that can't be bought in stores; the only downside is that there is a 'zapped' sign just beneath the petpet XD

Over the many years of having the lab ray..gosh, I can't even begin to think about the various colors I've gotten off of it. The most recent one was a Fire Buzz though.
The petpet one is handy too, I managed to get a slorg for the avatar with it.

My best result was a green Grundo to a Maraquan Kau. It's quite cute.
As for the petpet lab ray, I've gotten a Florta, a fire Anubis, and a plushie Kadoatie.

I've gotten a green raindorf, a marafin, spooky spyder (lol WTF?), maraquan gruslen, pile of soot (I thought it was sort of cute), and some others. ^^ It truly is very handy.

Considering no-one's replied and it's been 7/8 months, I'll tell ya :3
The Lab Ray is a place where you can get your neopet zapped by a giant ray to turn them any colour, species, gender, higher level, lower level, higher stats, lower stats ect.
To get to the Lab Ray you have to collect all 9 pieces of the map and put them together, then all your pieces dissappear and you can go there! But as you collect them, make sure you have a guide or remember which pieces you have, as you could get duplicates because they're all called "Secret Laboratory Map"
