Man - call me a nerd, but I've been watching my old Wolf's Rain DVDs lately. I have the entire series on DVD. x.x
Didn't you guys just love that show? Gorgeous Anime men, wolves, action packed adventure, music by Yoko Kanno, wonderful art - it made my summer! :D It's been... four years since it was on? I think... Can't recall exactly when it aired. But I loved it and I still love that show.
Blue and Tsume were my favorites. I loved Kiba (he was my first love), but getting into the show I really fell in love with Blue - she's what a girl is all about! >:D Not to mention she can fight in a leather skirt and thigh-high boots.
Tsume too - couldn't stand him in the beginning, but now I love him. I think it's sweet how he looks out for Toboe!
I guess I love all the characters... Loved Hige, Kiba, Toboe, Cheza, Cher, Hubb - even that Zali character in an earlier episode.
Listen to me talk on and on about this anime. x.x
Who else loved the Wolf's Rain series on Adult Swim?

Haha I must be a nerd too. *pokes lonely head out of the ground*
I looooove Wolf's Rain, and you're lucky you gots it on DVD - I only get to watch it when I can spare a slot in the Netflix queue.
I love Tsume...and Toboe and Kiba XD I thought it was positively adorable when Tsume was there for Toboe when Toboe was dying and I mean it was sad but it was cute which is like a psychological paradox. (I did that one on purpose.) Plus, I used to think that his voice was the guy who plays Batman, but I was wrong - that's Howl, from Howl's Moving Castle XD
I have like bunches of songs from the soundtrack and I listen to them a lot xD
Aaaaanyway, I totally know what you mean about it being really awesome. >__> *disappears again*

Oh I know! I cried when Tsume was saying his goodbye to Toboe. Oh geez, those episodes were the saddest. Hige and Blue's death - My God, I choked up! But not as bad as I did with Toboe, because he's so innocent and he hates fighting. And what happens? Sexy Darcia shoots him! *attack Darcia*
I have both soundtracks. xD But I'm ****ed because there are songs that I don't have! Like, there's this really pretty pots and pans song - it's sung by the woman who plays Cheza I think. It's in a few episodes, like the part where Hige and Toboe are getting "gifts" for Cheza in town, and the old lady is following them. And then it's also playing when Kiba chooses to by with Myu on that on episode. Ugh - and there's this other that's is gorgeous. And sometimes I curse Yoko Kanno for making music that I can't have! x.x
*dies* Forgive my rant...

Yup; even cold-hearted Ember almost shed tears. how rare. That old woman in the thing with cheza who does that chant thing creeped me out, though, I know that much, cause the chant song thing it was like haunting and everything ya know? I remember I really liked the one song where they were jumping around those red pipe things and it was like all rocky and bzzang and I was like <3 And I feel bad, cause I loved that show and I'm listening to you talk about it but I have nothing to say because I haven't seen it in about a year and a half. *gets shot ded*

I can't say I loved the show myself, but it was a really good show ^^ I don't own it on DVD, I watched it online XD Usually I only watch animes in their subtitled versions, but I prefered the english version for this anime so I watched the whole thing in english :3
Although I didn't really watch the whole thing, because I didn't know that their was more than 26 episodes (I was going by this one site said, but they consider the rest of the episodes OVA's XD) so I still need to watch the other 4 XD
For me I'd say Toboe was my favorite X3

Yea, Bones says that Wolf's Rain has an extra 4 episodes. The 4 episodes are a lot more depressing, but the ending makes a lot more sense than the original 26th ending. I kinda prefer English Animes versus the original Japanese. As much as I love the Japanese tongue, I love listening to the American voices do it. *shrug* Especially because Johny Yong Bosch (who does Kiba's voice), I think his voice is so... perfect for Kiba. And when I listen to the Japanese version, it just doesn't sound right, y'know? Aww, Ember! xD I think I know what song you're talking about. The red pipes - I think I have that song... Was it in the last few episodes where they're at Jagara's Keep...? I think I know what you're talking about, just to make sure. I could probably give it to ya if you don't have it? I watched the final 4 episodes today - Toboe's death... I was sobbing like crazy! And then watching Tsume say goodbye... Ugh! Y'know, part of me wants there to be a sequel, but part of me says "no" because it could maybe be bad... Hmn. *shrug*

Yes! That song. I remember it now, if you have it I wish to steal it from you. I usually watch anime in...whatever the DVD puts on when I press "play". >_> Usually it's english, but sometimes I'll watch Bleach online and I did watch the Cardcaptor Sakura movie in Japanese. But I digress...I love Johnny Young Bosch as well and I love listening to Toboe in English xD I never knew there were those 4 episodes...Although, on Netflix there was an extra disc that had 4 ones that were sort of reminiscent episodes? and I didnt get that disc because all the reviewers were like "NUUU" and I was like " okaaay". Maybe those are them. I don't know. I don't see how they would make a sequel, really. Although I would definitely not say no to more of my favorite wolves if they could find a way to make it work!

Yea - with the DVDs, there's a total of 30 episodes, but 4 of the episodes are recaps of each character. Like Tsume - it reviews how Tsume met Toboe, how is gang sold him out, how he met Kiba etc. etc. It was really retarded. x.x I remember buying the DVD and being so excited to watch WR! But then pouted because it was a flippin' recap. u.u Ember, if you can find the episode where the song is on, so I can hear. Chances are I have it - but there's a selection of songs that I want that I don't have. Or maybe you could describe it to me - like, electric guitar, heavy drums, orchestral upbeat tempo. Anything like that. There are several sngs like that. I'll do my best to try and find it! *cape wavers* I agree - a sequel that could work. With the same voices and everything.

I kinda prefer English Animes versus the original Japanese. As much as I love the Japanese tongue, I love listening to the American voices do it. *shrug* I just think the Japanese voices usually fit the characters better than the english ones, that my main reason for it When I'm to lazy to read subtitles I will problbly switch to the English version. Subtitles can be annoying... because if you move you eye away for a few secounds you could miss a couple lines of speech X3 Especially because Johny Yong Bosch (who does Kiba's voice), I think his voice is so... perfect for Kiba. And when I listen to the Japanese version, it just doesn't sound right, y'know? Aww XD But I agree his voice fit a lot better for Kiba than Mamoru Miyano. (Mamoru Miyano is one of my favorite voice actors... but I didn't think his voice was right for Kiba XD) I think all the voices fit better in english than Japanese for Wolfs Rain, which is really something I don't say to often XD (I loved Johny Yong Bosch's voice for Ichigo in Bleach, I thought it fit better than the Japanese version XD I've gotten use to the Japanese version now so I actually think both voices fit X3) I think I know what song you're talking about. The red pipes - I think I have that song... Was it in the last few episodes where they're at Jagara's Keep...? Oh I rember liking that song as well too, that was my favorite song from the series XD I never knew there were those 4 episodes...Although, on Netflix there was an extra disc that had 4 ones that were sort of reminiscent episodes? and I didnt get that disc because all the reviewers were like "NUUU" and I was like " okaaay". Maybe those are them. I don't know. Nope, I *watched* those they pretty much just go over the whole story in 4 episodes. I was like "I pretty much just watched all this recently" If you like did watch it in forever, I don't think it'd be to bad. I skipped over them all (I didn't know there was going to be 4 so I'd watch the start, look at the end of the episode, exit and find out when the next episode started XD) I remember buying the DVD and being so excited to watch WR! But then pouted because it was a flippin' recap. u.u That would suck o.O I agree - a sequel that could work. With the same voices and everything. That'd be interesting to see what they come up with if they ever did XX3

Tina - I enjoyed all of your quotes! xD Agreed: the English voices suited much better for WR versus the Japanese voices. Johny Yong Bosch: I'll always remember him as the Black Ranger from Power Rangers! But from now on, he'll always be Kiba. I remember watching a whole bunch of animes: Blood+, Trigun, Bleach, Ghost in the Shell, Wolf's Rain, even Digimon - and as I'm listening to the English dub, I realized that it must be this small collection of people that do the voices. Johnny Yong Bosch: Trigun, Bleach, Eureka 7 Crispin Freeman (Tsume): Howl's Moving Castle, and I think he was in Blood+ - I very well could be wrong. Joshua Seth (Hige): Digimon, I'm pretty sure I heard him Ghost in the Shell, Mona Marshall: .hack//SIGN, Naruto appearance, I think a Bleach episode, even Digimon. But I like that - listening to these Japanese animes and knowing the actors. Petree: Yea, we thought it died too. xD But not anymore! EDIT:[/i] So apparently the "sequel" to the Wolf's Rain series are the final 4 episodes where everyone dies. >.>
