I think this belongs here..
Sorry bought all my Complaining, But I have to get it of my chest before I throw my comp out the window
Yes, Site adptins, Very fair right? NO! I tried to adopt petz from varios sites (Not giving out names) Mostly hexies are cool mixies, And 5% of the time I get them, Know why? FRIENDS! Friends of the site owners or people who already have 500 petz from them get them, why I dunno, Its just unfair writing a long app and hoping you get the pet when later you see someone who already has 50 petz from them showing it off saying "i'm so luckey!!11" ;_; It just bugs me... I ask myself when I see a cool pet "Why even bother applying, I'm not gonna get it, some 555555 other people will apply and the one with 555 petz from them will get it..." ;_;
*gags* Sorry for all that, I feel calmer now... Now then, I'm going to my site to add a notice..... Plese move or lock this if its in the wrong place or not alloyed..
(Hey, A hole topic with me complaing and no swear words, neat..)

I get the same feeling sometimes, but then people complain if no one adopts from them. There is only so much dissappointment that people can take.

Well site owners probably prefer to give to people they know, but it is kinda unfair to others who apply

That annoys me to :/ I applied for a pet, THAT DID NOT HAVE A LINE THROUGH IT, wrong one long ass app, and then the person emailed me back saying that it was adopted.

From a site owners view: Sometimes there are just so many people the apply for the same pet. They all either write really great apps, or none at all. It's hard to choose, but me, personally, I try and send the pet to someone A.) that hasn't adopted recently for while B.) has a better app C.) doesn't ask for more than one pet. I don't prefer one person from another. I treat my friends and frequent visitors on the same level. Most people, however, always seem to apply for the same pet. If you think one is going to be popular, because the eye color is really popular, maybe pick another one? I don't know about other places, but if you put a second choice in the app, they won't kill you. From an adoptees point of view: I know where you are coming from. I'm starting to think that some sites will give people the pet because they know them. I know that if a "popular" person adopts from you, you tend to want to give it to them because you are flattered... I have the same problem with getting the pet I want. Popular sites are hard to adopt from simply because more people apply for the pet. It is really disappointing when you don't get a pet you really want.

I have to agree with Noelle and let me offer my personal response to this, not that Nintendo is referring to me, but I'll pretend someone as complaining about me. Adoptions on my sie were always slow, I have mostly freebies but my hexies are app/trades. I have a pretty simple form but there are a few times where I've completely ignored an app because someone won't take the time to fill out an correctly. If your app consists of chatspeak that I cannot read, or is abysmally short as in "Why: I like the pet." Ok yes, you like the pet but if I can spend hours hexing a pet, surely you can show me a little more enthusiasm than that? Personally, I don't play favorites with my friends. I actually have very few close friends in the community and the ones that do, don't apply from my site because they know they can get a custom version without filling out a form. If it's up on my site, it's fair game for everyone. On the rare occasion that I have gotten more than one app for a pet, it's always gone to the one who seemed most thoughtful and sincere. I also agree with Nintendo as an adopter myself. There are some sites/folks out there that have their close group and really don't seem interested in promoting the community at large. On one hand I too feel the frustration of not having a chance because I don't know the site owner but on the other hand, at least their still in the community somewhat. To each their own I suppose. But if a site owner is consistently ignoring your apps and they really are good apps, then you can always try talking to them. I almost never get pure feedback from my site but I can promise you that if someone tried to strike up a conversation related to my page, I'd enjoy that. If you can't even talk to the site owner, well, then don't bother with their site. There's lots of others you can support and interact with. But seriously, since you didn't want to name names Nintendo, id try emailing the site owner with feedback, ask them why your aps get ignored. A good site owner should at least be willing to discuss what they feel would make a good app. That annoys me to :/ I applied for a pet, THAT DID NOT HAVE A LINE THROUGH IT, wrong one long ass app, and then the person emailed me back saying that it was adopted. I can understand the frustration but at least they emailed you back? Sometimes I'll apply and not get any response. Maybe occasionally its for the reasons I might ignore an app, but im pretty meticulous usually about filling them out.

I used to email everyone back if they didn't get a pet, but now I just don't have time to. I occasionally do if they applied for a hexed pet a I decided to give them another from the litter.

It annoys me when people don't reply-my email's been playing up (as you know Noelle) and when I didn't get a reply I presumed it didn't get through. When I sent it in again the owner bit off my head and asked me to quit harassing her. Even when I explained she didn't apologise ;D

I totally think this petz community now is so selfish, when petz 3/4 came out everyone was so kind and adopting out to each other, giving petz out, where now you can hardly get a pet.
I think that all who replied here are the nicest ones for adoping out, most prefer their friends.
Well that is my opinion.

Oooh, my favorite subject! I once got so annoyed about the demand for mile-long-essay-apps, that I opened an entire forum based on adoptions that forbid asking 'why'. As it's been said before, oh about a million and a half times, we all know why... the pet looks like something we'd want to have! Simple. I see it, I like it, I want it. If someone says, may I have one please? Give it up! Who's it going to kill? I do however make an attempt at writing something fun and creative for the work someone has put into hexing a certain file that I really desire, especially knowing that hexing is time-consuming. I have been anywhere from ignored to thanked for asking... it's random. I like it here, because most everyone I have adopted from on this forum, or on the site of a person on this forum, has been very kind. With me, kindness rules. I hex because I like to see what I can do. Usually, if I am pleased and proud of what I have made, I want to show it off and offer it in some form. If I've made a litter of 5, and person number six strolls in a day late... I pm them, and send them one too. I hate to disappoint people. I can't understand how someone could feel good about themselves for ignoring a request. I get nothing but joy out of knowing something I have done, has made someone miles away from me happy, if even for a moment.
