Catz are, in my opinion quite easy to pose Now, depending on the breed, there's different sortof 'levels' of difficulty. The difficult personalities are; Siamese, Calico and Alley Cat. You just have to try specially hard xD
What you need to do Take your cat out into an empty playscene (no distractions, other catz, toys etc) Pick up your cat, and hold it until it turns to face right. Right sided poses are preferred to left with catz and also look better Your catz feet should be pretty aligned so they almost look like one. Start taking pictures. Your cat will probably be startled by the camera at first, but will get used to it with practice. This is what I do, keep clicking the camera until the cat jumps back. The stop immediately and wait for it to get into pose. If you keep clicking while/right after it jumps back it won't go into pose. Then, wait for the tail to curve towards the back and SNAP, you got your pose xD Read on to see examples.
Catz Pose Ok, with Catz poses you need your catz to be facing right. Left facing catz are less likely to be placed. The Cat should have it's head up, and be looking directly at the camera. Eyelids should be even The tail should be curled nicely towards the back, and back legs should be spread out.
Hope that helped you in some way ^_^ I might do something on Siamese Poses, it depends on how well the Catz decide to pose for me xD

My Siameses always just go into Sphynx Cat mode so in the end I just give up. XDD Sphynx Cat being when they lay down on their tummy, with their tail and ears up, staring blankly and their front legs crossed. xDD

Use the pink spray bottle or just keep putting them away and getting them back out.

I've found the door method usually gets the best poses, but it can be frustrating because meezers don't always cooperate and actually *pose* when they come in.

How do you get alley cats to pose? I have an alley mix I want to show 'cause she's gorgeous, only she just keeps hissing and getting into a pounce position...

Daja, you are right! well, at least kind of to me. My cats usually get into a pose right when they hear the snap of the camera. If someone still needs help, try taking out your catz in a scene with no distractions and do not let them on a ledge. keep them on the ground, take a picture until he/she looks at you and jumps into the positions shown by Daja. THIS is how MY catz react to the sound of the camera right away. Wouldn't it be nice if your catz reacted like mine? xD

Usually my catz don't stay still long enough for me to even get into camera mode.

I have a pretty easy way to make cats pose. Okay, go to the salon (Clothing closet for Catz 4) and align them to the right. Then put a jumper on the cat. Take the jumper off and hold it infront of the cats face, then wait for them to go to the pose position. It can take a couple of goes but you get good poses.
