First off, some of you may remember me, I haven't been here to APKC for a long time, and i'm not sure how many of the old members are still active in the community. I am also unsure of the general activity of the petz community. The past few times I've visited (I come by rarely to see what's going on) all the recent posts are on either SIMs or something called wajas. Adoptions are lacking, as are proper shows like we used to hold here. But anyway, shouldn't complain, after all, I left. Anyway, I own a website, The Equinox ( www.geocities.com/equinox8750) It's been there a long time, rarely updated, left up simply because i thought people may still download the petz i have up there. So I was wondering as I was thinking of updating: 1. Do people still adopt downloadable natural breed dogz? 2. Or are people still obsessed only with single gen hexies? 3. Are people still obsessed by hexed breeds suck as CK Pembies and Border Collies? Personally, I've always favoured natural dogz from the petz 3/4 range, ones that could be shared with anyone, not just P5 users, and bred from long lines of mixed dogz. But I've always been like that X3 Do people still download natural bred dogz anymore, such as the ones on The Equinox? If you'd throw in your oppinion on the community as it currently stand re. actually playing with petz too, that would be a great help. Thanks, -Thy

Hey! Welcome back the Petz community is actual very active right now. Soo yes, overwrite breeds are taking over. & yea CK breeds are still really popular, especially the CK Border Collie and the CK Husky. As far as hexed petz...well I think a few people are obsessed with only hexed petz but most of us like natural (Just an assumption). With natural breeds, Danes are still popular. I think they always will be, they are definately my favorite original breeds. Oh yes, and downloadable adoptions are always nice ;]. Also, petz can now be converted for use with any version so the whole 3/4/5 issue doesn't realy matter. But yes you should definately stay in the Petz community this time!

THYLAYLII! I sent you a poor penguin graphic as a bday present last yr over PM, idk if you got it or not though. :c
Welcome back! (L) As far as I know the majority of people that still play Petz are interested in high gen. mixed breeds (especially those for P4 that only require the original files) aswell as hexies, but I'm not sure about downloadable petz in general. PCG (tiwolf.net/PCG) is a lot more active petz wise but even that's quite irl orientated. RKC is probably your best bet if you want a really petzy atmosphere.
I would wuv to see some Tamsins again. I miss them. Remember Quasar?

I remember you, Thlaylii. Welcome back!!
I think what kellibelli16 said is pretty much on target except where she said, "Also, petz can now be converted for use with any version so the whole 3/4/5 issue doesn't realy matter." That's neither accurate nor true. Once a pet is in Petz 5 it can never again work in Petz 3 of Petz 4. It CANNOT be converted. At best you can create a clone that LOOKS LIKE the original pet, but it will not have the original pet's personality, inheritable traits, memory or family tree. It will be a first generation pet of whatever breed you used to create it. You CAN use a pet file instead of a breed file to create a clone, but it still will not have the characteristics I listed. So, it is very much an issue to people who like to breed their pets. I and many others clone only first generation hexies and NEVER would adopt a clone of a bred pet.
