I am known on TPG, and I was known on TPS. I'm not a forumy person. I don't go from forum to forum. But I don't like folks touching/offending my friends. So yeah I signed up to say my '2 cents'. End of story.
I probably never will visit this forum again. and yes I only signed up to say my '2 cents'. So hate me if you like, I don't care and you should do whatever floats you boat toward me.

I have two opinions; Yes, people should not upload other people's downloadable petz, because I (and others) hate adopting them when we realise we could've saved credits and just downloaded them. BUT If hexers are sooo worried about they're petz, why are they downloadable in the first place? I do agree with Haley, people put petz downloadable to partly give people a break from having to apply.

From the programmer of PA:
I have a game development team and you all hexers are acting agains the law. The creations are copyrighted by UBiSoft and ONLY by UbiSoft. You all have no legal claim on "your" hexies. Just to state the "law".

Your cant copy right something that was not made by you.. the game was made by ither PF magic or Ubi soft depending you cant copy right the breeds cause you didnot make them.. i agree with Reloaded about it.. you cant copy right your hexies cause you did not creat the org breed so get over your selves and deal with it.. you cant do anything to change what has already happened so shut up and get over your self the world is not perfect and never will be there is nothing you can do to change this so suck it up and deal!

There is absolutely no reason why we should get up in arms about PA. For starters, the petz community as a whole has gone downhill lately, especially as people are getting more uptight about thier petz.
<rant> 1.) Downloadable petz are FREE FOR USE by anyone to do ANYTHING with. Once a person downloads the pet, the origin source has NO CONTROL over what the person will do. a.) if you really cared about the dog, you sure as heck wouldnt post it for download. 2.) Hexing: by opening any original breed file in LNZ, ResHack, PetWorkshop, etc etc, we are breaking copyright laws. By hexing the file, we are commiting CRIME. The material we are messing with is COPYRIGHTED by federal law, so we are breaking (c) laws right there. NEXT: when we hex, ANYONE can identically duplicate what we hex. It's not that hard. We CANNOT (C) something that we don't have exclusive rights to BECAUSE we did not make the files(!) and there's no damn point in it. Once we send a dog out, the person we send the dog to can do anything with the dog, whether it be cherish and playw ith it, delete it, abuse it, or post i for adoption somewhere else. 3.) Adoption/Reselling: we run the risk of our dogz being "mistreated" by our standards when we let them out of our game and our sight. Adoptions are just a friendly way of sharing your love of petz with the world. If hexers/breeders are so concerned about thier petz being "mistreated", DONT ADOPT THEM OUT! i4.)f you like PA, stick with it and enjoy it. If you don't like it, don't join. As for (C), they are worthless in the PC in general. You can (c) your website layout but NOT a pet or anything derived from the game itself, because you did NOT create it.
What about the AAC, hmm? It's the same damn thing as PA, yet no one complains about it. Why's that?
</rant>
in closing: if you do not like PA, do not join. Give it a try, because you might like it. I personally LOVE PA, and I've gotten some awesome and adorable mixies off of it.
to all mods/admin/etc: ban me, I dont give a damn. I said my peice, I'm satisfied.

Not sure if anybody mentioned it but it's been 11 years the first game came out. Dogz came out in 1995.
In these 11 years we have grown up. We have changed. Our idea's about Petz has changed. Things like download became acceptable. And we simply cannot copywrite something we don't own (anymore), or something we don't have rights about.

Hahahahaaaa.
Answer to your problem/s; if you see a pet that is downloadable, one that is being auctioned, then don't bid on it. It's that simple.
If people get ripped, it's their own fault for being so stupid. Anything up for download can't be that good, anyway.
To all you pro-PAers; you might want to consider altering your rules slightly, so that you don't look as ignorant. ;D Just some friendly advice.

ubisoft doesn't care if you "modify" their files so as far as I'm concerned you can copyright if you want or whatever as long as you don't hurt anyone. this is going to happen for a very long time so w/e
