Personally, I would rather not be on a site that supported cheating anyhow.
Yes, I couldn't make a site like that. Mine would suck hard. But if I could, never would I consider allowing things like that to go on.
So because cheating has always been going on, it is suddenly acceptable? I shouldn't make any move to at least try and stop it, and not let people's hard work and feelings come into it?
Fair 'nuff. I can't remember if I'm a member there or not. Delete my account if it is there. As far as I can see, it's a weird rule that makes no sense, and is definatly one of the things that could be why stealing is still happening on Petz. Big deal. Don't see why I'm the problem if I've never got involved into it or **** like that. [/center]

We can take pride in our petz (I sure do!) but ALL of my petz are hexies, mostly hexed breedz. So for running them, I could get put in jail and fined, just like any of us who do can. I am PROUD to be a hexer, and I love to share my hexing with the world. While I don't like to see my dogz I have adopted out reposted places, I accept it. I've only seen it once, and he was a DOWNLOAD so I'm not overly concerned.
I can see where some hexers get uptight though. Hexing takes a LOT of time and effort, especially with spots and texturing. BUT we do it for fun; no one gets paid to hex. We want to share the dogz we hex with others, so we post them for D/L, adoption, and as bid items on PA and AAC. When I hex, I want to share my dogz with other people. My Java danes are all over the net, and I LOVE seeing them around. Hexers should take pride in the fact that someone WANTED thier dog/cat and adopted/downloaded/purchased the pet.
If you don't want to risk your dogz/catz getting resold, DONT ADOPT/DOWNLOAD/POST FOR AUCTION </rant again>

I poated nothing but the truth, things that can be read in the rules, read on the Tag Board and learned by reading about copyright law. PA could be great IF the owners implemented rules and mechanisms to discourage theft and cheating. Forbidding auctioning of downloaded petz would be a step forward. If someone complains a pet from a site is up for auction, it is a simple matter to check that site and to remove the offering from the Auction. If a person continues to post inappropriately, delete the account.
SOS didn't read my post very carefully. Yes, the problems are with SOME users. But the rules and the way the site is run allow those users to get away with theft. I object to that. period. The site was closed before because people complained about the poor way things were handled. It looks as if history is repeating itself. No need to attack me. Sometimes the truth hurts. Get over it.

I agree slightly about the hexies part but what annoys me is when I put a prized show dog pup up for adoption having people fill out applications and all that and I clearly state that I do not want them posted on PA or AAC but guess what I discover? 2 of my petz posted on PA. I contacted the person who was offering them it for adoption but all I got was a nasty email. I contacted PA but they did nothing. That really bugs me though bu what can you do? they could also just post them on a site for download. This is why I haven't posted adoptions on RKC, or APKC in awhile unless it goes to someone I trust.

Hahahahaaaa. Answer to your problem/s; if you see a pet that is downloadable, one that is being auctioned, then don't bid on it. It's that simple. If people get ripped, it's their own fault for being so stupid. Anything up for download can't be that good, anyway. To all you pro-PAers; you might want to consider altering your rules slightly, so that you don't look as ignorant. ;D Just some friendly advice. now why can't we all be sensible like kaz? =]
thats the best bit of opinion ive heard all day

From the programmer:
Don't care doesn't mean giving away their copyright. UBi tolerates it, but that is all.
Go and try to sell the pets for REAL Money, and look how fast you get a letter from one of UbiSoft's lawyers, and then say him: "I have the copyright".... Then the lawyer will lie on the floor and laugh...

Minibyte you get over it.. the truth is that whinning about something like stealing and copy rights which cant be copy righted is stupid and you need to freaking grow up... all you are doing is telling people that a site is wrong and should be put down.. if people want to put there dogz up for adoption then let them jesis GET OVER YOUR SELF!

People have been cheating on petz since day 1. Editing show pix, forwarding time to breed. PetzA and PetzDebugger allow us to cheat, but does anyone complain about those? Hell no! They're a godsend, especially for stubborn breeds that take a long time to fall in love. Being able to unneuter/unspay our petz, fix runaways, change the genders, those are all cheats. But do we care? No!
The rules should state downloads should not be sold, but NO ONE can keep track of every single downloadable pet net-wide, so who knows who is downloaded and who is not? The problem exists and cannot truly be fixed. We as a community will have to deal with it, because no one can magically make everything better.

I think the point is: Reloaded owns the site and no matter how much anyone here (not even Minibyte) rants about the rules, she's not going to change it. Amen. EDIT Kaz makes my day.
